date night done right

Aaahhh.... a date night out on the town.  My mom offered to take Quinne overnight so we could have a proper date.  And I said heck yes!  It was perfect getting to celebrate David being a pop too.  We started out with cocktails and wine at Guiseppes.  Ran into some friends and got free cocktails that tasted like melted down otter pops.  Ew.  Then we headed to Luna Red for some more wine and tapas.  Our last time we were there it ended in me sobbing as I carried a screaming baby out of the building.  So needless to say I had to redeem myself.  And I did.  We shared so many yummy things I was in heaven.  From calamari to goat cheese flatbread to boundless creme brulee.  Holy yum.  I was sick and so happy.

It was the best kind of night.  We laughed so much my cheeks hurt.  I can't even remember what was so funny, but we sure did have fun.  Spending time together is so refreshing.  I love when you are reminded of why you love someone.  And a simple night on the town and laughing your ass off is all you need sometimes.

I hope everyone is enjoying the end of this Fathers day weekend.  Kiss those papas if you can, they deserve it!
